Sample Santa Letters

*  1st Year in school:     A huge time in a child's life.  How exciting for them to receive a letter from Santa asking all about it and knowing their teacher and their school's name!

*  Away from home at Christmas:     It can be traumatic for a child to be away from home for Christmas.  How is Santa going to Know where you are?  What if there isn't a chimney?  Put the child's mind at ease with a letter from Santa, in which he reassures your child that he knows all about their plans and where they are going to be on Christmas Eve.

*Baby's First Christmas:     What a lovely keepsake for baby.  A letter from Santa welcoming them on their very first Christmas.  Wouldn't you love to have one of those to show your kids now?

*Birthday at Christmas:     Children who have a birthday at Christmas can often feel short changed.  But with a letter from Santa telling them how special they are to have been born this time of year it helps to make it a much more exciting time.

*School Age:     Although it may not be the first year at school, it is still fun to receive a letter where Santa knows all about your school, your friends, and your teacher's name.

*A special message:     Wow a letter from Santa where he talks about something only he could know.  How good you've been at practicing piano this year, at working hard at school.  Whatever it is only Santa could know! ;)

*A new brother or sister:     It can be a fun or difficult time for a child when they are adjusting to a new brother or sister in the last year.  A letter from Santa telling them how great it is can make it even more fun, or help to put their mind at ease if it hasn't been so easy.

*New Home:     Moving can be another huge and often stressful time in a child's life.  Santa can help to ease that and put their mind at rest by letting them know he will still be able to find them.

*A special letter from Santa:     There may be times when you don't want to mention anything specific from Santa.  Just a special letter to brighten up your child's day.

December, 2008

Dear Elizabeth,

It sure is cold up here in the North Pole.  Snow is everywhere I look.  Rudolph and the other reindeer have been busy practicing for their big night of taking the sleigh around the world!  Mrs. Claus has been serving them plenty of vegetables for dinner to keep them big and strong.  I see you have been eating your vegetables, too!

I have checked my list twice and know you have been very good this year.  You have been a big help with watching your cousin.  I am so pleased that you are such a big help to many people!  Keep up the good work!  I hear you want a new bicycle and I am goin to do my very best to make sure we save one for you!

By the way, great job on our report card this year.  I am so very proud of how well you are doing in school.  I know it has been hard but you gave it your best shot!  I know your mom and dad are especially proud of you as well.  Great job Elizabeth!

Don't forget to leave out the milk and chocolate chip cookies for me.  How sweet of you to remember how I love those special cookies you make for me each year!  Be sure to go to bed early so that I can make your home one of my first stops in Waskom!

Love,

Santa

P.S.  I really appreciated the special key that you leave out for me.  It sure makes my job a bit easier.  Thank you!
